London-based rock band Picture Parlour have released their new single, ‘Who’s There To Love Without You?’.
This marks their first song since the release of their 2024 EP, Face In The Picture. “We didn’t fancy a subtle reintroduction,” the band said of the song.
The new effort is playful, dipping into sultry moments of slowness before crescendoing back into a clunky, catchy guitar riff. Vocalist Katherine Parlour and lead guitarist Ella Risi capture the cheeky charm of the 1970s.
“At its core, the song is a bombastic tongue-in-cheek declaration that is wrapped in big riffs, and that’s our mood for 2025,” the band explained in a statement.
“The chorus lyric belts and repeats the song’s title, as though we are refusing to be ignored,” they added. “This song begs for, if not demands attention because, in the end, What’s the point of anything if the person or thing you want most can’t see you?”
The accompanying music video is centred in a Northern Soul Club and sees vocalist Katherine attempt to woo a potential lover. It is captured within a backdrop pulled straight from Kristen Stewart’s 2024 thriller Love Lies Bleeding.
Writing for Far Out recently, Picture Parlour paid homage to the small independent venues that have allowed them to nurture their live act and commit to their craft, sharing, “The stages are small but mighty, the floors are sticky but always open, and the people behind these independent spaces genuinely care.”
